End of the season at Breckenridge

Well, the best ski season in years came to an end at Breckenridge Sunday. Of course, the fact that I played golf Friday and Saturday then hit the slopes Sunday took some of the pain away. I got to spend the day on the slopes with three beautiful women - life is good! It really was warm enough to ski in shorts!

City Park Golf Course

Forecast was low 80's today so I thought I would check out the City Park Golf Course. It's less than 2 miles from the apartment and right next to the zoo. Only $23 to walk too! I took this pic from my phone on #6.

Calling for snow tomorrow. Wow. Maybe I'll ski;)

Spring skiing and Megadeth

Made it to Breckenridge Friday to take a lesson (I just HAD to use that last voucher!) and it was like January. Tons of fresh powder - 2 foot in many spots up high - with limited visibility. Lost sight of our instructor at the top of peak 7. It was an epic day though. Tried to get back but I 70 was shut down. Damn semi driver didn't put chains on and jackknifed. How can you not put chains on when required? DOH! A situation in Utah comes to mind......
Ended up spending the night in Breck and my buddy Ray came out Saturday morning and we hit it hard. We skied over 10k vertical in the first two hours. My legs were screaming! Fantastic snow though. We found all kinds of powder.
Made it back to Denver in the early afternoon and had to rally because - get this - I had a ticket to the Megadeth concert. It was the first stop on the Gigantour. Good lord did they rock. Chris, you would have loved it! Stace too! Me ears are bleeding today though.
Gonna chill and regroup on Big Paper day then watch the final round of the Masters. Looking to play golf Monday / Tuesday.

Just chillin'

Back in the saddle with work last week. It's nice working from home, although I do need to get out and talk to people more often. Went skiing at Breckenridge Saturday - great spring conditions. They close on April 20th so I have to get over there again soon. Finally had my golf clubs delivered as well - big thanks to Stace for making that happen - I owe you! There are so many courses around here and I can't wait to play.
Made it to a Rockies game yesterday. It was a beautiful day and the seats were a few rows up from the end of the 1st base line. Fantastic seats! Added a few ice cold Coors beers and it was all good. It's going to be fun this summer - there is a lot going on around Coors Field during home games. Cool bars with huge patios on the roof overlooking the ballpark. I'll take pics next time.
